Addictive patterns are widespread, to food, to consciousness-altering substances, to non-constructive relationships, to shopping, to electronic devices, to emotional patterns that one clings to. Today, based on the new light that is available, new choices can be made about these that were not possible in the past.
“Anatomy of Addiction” was written especially for those who have struggled with addictive patterns for years including addictions to food, to consciousness-altering substances, to non-constructive relationships, to shopping, to electronic devices, and also to emotional patterns that one clings to that may be invisible to all but the self.
The booklet also contains a previously published article called “The Origins of Self-Betrayal” which gives words to the mechanism by which the conscious self turns away from what it knows to be good or right, toward an attitude or action that does not conform to its own moral center. How does one who seeks to do ‘good’ turn in the direction of knowingly doing something that a part of the self deems to be ‘wrong.’
This booklet is also for those involved with service to others who may be dealing with these issues. If you wish to share it with clients, you may write to us directly and it will be made available to you at cost.
