The Peace Within You

The purpose of a meditative practice such as this is to become able to maintain balance, peace, equanimity at all times, in order to meet whatever external reality appears to present with a sense of quiet.
In terms of how we move through life, peace is very important, allowing us to recognize an inner point of stability, no matter what else may be happening. Peace conveys a deep sense that everything is alright the way it is, that whatever feels like disquieting news or events can be incorporated into the place of acceptance and balance where there is not chaos, there is order. There is not meaninglessness, there is purpose, even if that purpose is unknown.
