Awakening of the Energy Body
While it is often not possible to ‘do’ anything about the physical aspects of the transformational process except to try to get as comfortable as possible, it is always possible to align our responses with the deepest level of truth we can access. One can choose trust over fear, and acceptance over denial, holding that something positive is happening, even if unexplained.
As part of the planetary awakening taking place today, not only our collective consciousness is being changed. The physical reality that we live in is also undergoing a transformation on a cellular, molecular, atomic, and sub-atomic level. This includes both the physical body of the Earth and our own physical bodies as well.
When spiritual energy of a higher vibration begins to penetrate more deeply into matter that has existed at a lower level of vibration, many things happen. Some are perceived as positive and expansive when they lead to new experiences of peace, joy, or the disappearance of habits of thought and feeling that one had struggled with for a very long time. At the same time, sensations that are perceived as difficult or challenging can arise, based on a higher ‘voltage’ energy needing to penetrate a more dense configuration of physical matter.
This ‘resistance of matter’ is not conscious, nor is it negative. It is not something that the mind does. It is built into the properties of matter itself and specifically of matter configured to a three-dimensional matrix when it receives energies of a higher dimension.
In viewing the phenomenon of electricity, we can understand how electrical currents operate through amplitude, frequency, voltage, and impedance, and are familiar with this description. Within our own bodies, however, it has been more of a mystery as to how and why the new spiritual energy that is present can activate symptoms that are really the expression of similar principles to those of electricity, reflecting the ‘resistance of matter’ to the higher frequencies of spiritual light entering a matrix of greater density.
This ‘resistance of matter’ is not conscious, nor is it negative. It is not something that the mind does. It is built into the properties of matter itself and specifically of matter configured to a three-dimensional matrix when it receives energies of a higher dimension. When physical symptoms arise as a result of this melding, it is often because our physical bodies are being transformed by light as a result of our spiritual progress, and the light must do its work of transformation. Put differently, we are becoming more vibrant, more light-filled, and more illuminated as embodied beings.
Nevertheless, symptoms can arise as new light tries to penetrate the atoms of denser physical matter. Among these can be:
- more frequent headaches or a feeling of pressure in the head
- muscular aches and pains or more limited range of motion in various body parts
- extreme or unusual fatigue or unwanted awakeness when trying to sleep
- a sense of lethargy and inability to do things or to focus on tasks as one used to
- sudden unwanted thoughts appearing in the mind or emotions in the body that are unpleasant and that come unbidden
- memories of the past that arise spontaneously, bringing emotions that correspond to past events
- a heightened ‘raw’ response to external stimuli including sounds coming from outside oneself
The transformation of the physical body by higher frequencies of spiritual light does not have a homogeneous path of expression, but differs from individual to individual. Such a choice is made by the heart and the will, rather than by the mind, for it is the heart that seeks to trust the invisible world of the future that is emerging out of the present, and it is the will connected to the heart that can say ‘yes,’ allowing what the mind does not yet know or comprehend to be.
